Pengadilan Negeri (PN) Bandung pada hari ini, 8 Juli 2024, menggemparkan publik dengan putusan praperadilan yang membebaskan Pegi Setiawan dari status tersangka kasus pembunuhan Vina dan Eky di Cirebon tahun 2016. Putusan ini sontak menjadi sorotan dan menimbulkan berbagai pertanyaan, khususnya terkait kredibilitas penegakan hukum di Indonesia.
Pegi, yang sebelumnya didakwa sebagai otak pembunuhan sadis pasangan kekasih Vina dan Eky, kini resmi dibebaskan setelah hakim tunggal PN Bandung, Eman Sulaeman, menyatakan penetapan tersangka terhadapnya tidak sah dan batal demi hukum.
